In today’s passage from St. Paul’s Second Letter to the Corinthians, the Holy Apostle reveals to us in an exemplary way (including from his own life) how beneficial the power of God Almighty is.
To understand what St. Paul is talking about in today’s reading, we have to remember that in his previous Epistle to the Corinthians, the Holy Apostle severely rebuked the Christians of that community for their bad conduct.
Today, on this Sunday after the Elevation of the Holy Cross, we are once again reminded of the blessings that our Lord’s sacrifice on the Cross has given us.
In today’s reading, we hear the conclusion of St. Paul’s Epistle to the Galatians. In it, he summarizes everything that he had discussed at length previously, in order to protect the Christian community from those who were trying to distort the Gospel and sow dissension in the Church.
