The gap created by the departure of the Rector of the holy church of St. Paul the Apostle-St. Alypios in Antalya was filled immediately, thanks to the tender care of His Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. On the one hand, he made available his Great Patriarchal Syngellos (Associate) Fr. Ambrosios, a man knowledgeable in the Russian and English languages, to serve in Antalya for as long as his ministry will be necessary there. On the other hand, the Patriarch accepted the local Metropolitan’s petition to have Fr. Lambros Fotopoulos, Protopresbyter and Rector of the holy church St. Cosmas Aitolos at Amarousion, Greece transferred to Antalya with the consent of course of Fr. Lambros’ Prelate, the Most Reverend the Metropolitan of Kifissia Mr. Cyril, after all relevant formalities had gone through the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece.
The presence at the farewell Divine Liturgy of January 30th of the home Bishop, as well as of the above mentioned celebrant Priests of the Lord, Fr. Ambrosios and Fr. Lambros, offered comfort and delight to the hearts of the faithful who felt, once more, the tender love and care of the Mother, the Great Church of Christ, for their pastoral guidance.
