On the first Sunday of the Great Lent, which is dedicated to the Triumph of Orthodoxy, Metropolitan Sotirios of Pissidia celebrated the Divine Liturgy at St. Nicholas’ Cathedral in Seoul, assisted by Rev. Fr. Roman Cavchak and Rev. Fr. Antonios Lim. He had been asked by Metropolitan Ambrosios, who, for some special occasion, had to be in the church in Jeonju on that day. According to the Church ceremonial ritual, there was a procession of the holy Icons around the church of St. Nicholas, while the choir was singing hymns of the day.
In the end, the Celebrant Hierarch expressed warm wishes to the large congregation, so that they may journey into the “stadium of virtues”, i.e. the Holy Lent, with good health, contrition and victorious spiritual struggles. Thus, we may all celebrate the Holy Passion and the glorious Resurrection of our Lord with devout hearts.
