It’s already the third year as on September the 3rd the feast of the icon of our Lady of Pisidia is celebrated in Alanya in the church of the same name. The original icon of the Holy Mother of Pisidia has been famous for the miracles that occurred in the VI century in Sozopol, the region of Pisidia.
The celebration of the divine Liturgy was led by Metropolitan Sotirios of Pisidia together with Archimandrite Theologos Chrysanthakopoulos (the church architect and construction supervisor), Archimandrite of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, Mikhail (Anischenko ) from the church of St. Alypios, Antalya and presbyter Constantin (Shevchenko), Alanya.
During the Liturgy, the prayer "Our father" was pronounced in Russian, Greek, Turkish, Georgian, Iranian and Gagauz languages.
After the Divine Liturgy, attended by believers from Alanya, Antalya and other places, a festive lunch was offered for the community on the square in front of the church, under the tents, provided by the courtesy of the Municipality of Alanya.
